Recently someone stumbled upon an old "Ask a Mormon" thread I had started and contacted me. That resulted in a series of messages, with the last one from the investigator reading:

"Thanks that was just what I was looking for. You painted quite a different picture than what I had seen form some other sources. In all honesty it makes much more sense the way you described it. From my contact with Mormon's (friends, family friends, etc.) I have always gotten the impression that their lives were not as extreme as other's indicate. It has always appeared to me that Mormon's are nice, well adjusted people. Either they were doing a great job hiding the inner intense and unorthodox lifestyle or people tend to get things a little wrong. I'm guessing it's more of the latter.

Well, I'll give you some reprieve for now. I guess it's more fair to ask the missionaries some of my other questions. Thank you for your time and candor."

I had suggested to him that he chat live with a full-time missionary at www.mormon.org and make an appointment to meet with the local missionaries.

Keep up the good cyber missionary work - it works!
